You will need to complete a degree in Food Technology or in Science (Biotechnology).

In your Food Technology degree, you can choose from a range of electives such as Biotechnology and Commercial Biotechnology to pursue your particular interests. You could also do a Masters in Biotechnology or Genetics.

Your pay rate will be dependent upon the enterprise activity of your potential employer and you will need to discuss wage rates with them.
