You will need to complete a degree in Food Technology or Science (Food Technology) and get some experience working in the industry.

You will also need to do further study for an Honours degree or Doctorate in your chosen area and would do well to also undertake some study toward qualifications in Education.

Your pay rate will be dependent upon the enterprise activity of your potential employer and you will need to discuss wage rates with them.
